Governors

Dear Parent or Guardian

As the Governing Board of Wolverham, we understand that there are times that you may wish to approach a Governor and ask for our help or assistance, or simply ask a question.

You may see us from time to time at school events or on school premises, and you are very welcome to approach us, but we would also like to let you know that you are also able to contact us on our own Governor email address below.

If you are unsure about which types of queries we may be best placed to assist with, the information below may help.

What is the role of a School Governor?

Primarily, to contribute to the work of the governing body in ensuring high standards of achievement for all children and young people in the school by:

  • Setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction;

  • Holding the school’s leadership team to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;

  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Once again, if you think you have a question we can help with, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jenkins
