Our Curriculum

At Wolverham, we want all our pupils to be inspired and love learning, to be confident in who they are and to leave us with the skills and knowledge to take on the next step of their school journey.

Through our half-termly key words - identity, courage, power, change, choices and unity - we have built our curriculum which will continue to evolve and develop over the next few years. Our pupils’ personal development is at the heart of all we do with a range of exciting trips, residential visits, visitors and learning experiences built into each topic.

Our aims:

  • enable children to become resilient and deal with change confidently: change

  • foster children’s self-esteem and help them build positive relationships with other people: identity

  • develop children’s self-respect and encourage children to respect the ideas, attitudes, values and feelings of others: identity

  • show respect for all cultures and, in so doing, to promote positive attitudes towards other people: unity

  • enable children to understand their community and help them feel valued as part of this community: choices, identity

  • help children grow into reliable, independent and positive citizens who understand the role they have in this world: power, courage
