Year 1 Class Page

In Year 1 the adults are Mrs Bretland (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), Mrs Clayton (Thursday, Friday) and Ms Rakova. It is wonderful to see you here!

This term P.E will be on a Friday. The children should come into school wearing their P.E kit. They should wear a plain white shirt and navy or black shorts or tracksuit bottoms. Most lessons will take place inside, but on occasions PE may be held outside.  Please ensure they have appropriate footwear.

This term, we will be learning all about London by reading 'Katie in London.'

Phonics is the teaching of early reading and spelling. We follow Little Wandle Letters and Sounds. Please visit the phonics page for more information. Please continue to read with your child as much as possible and fill in their reading record. Reading records and books need to be in school every day. The children will be given a new reading book every Friday which they will read for a whole week.
