OPAL Play
At Wolverham, we believe that play is a vital part of every child’s development and well-being. That is why we are part of the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, a nationally recognised approach that helps schools create high-quality, inclusive and engaging play opportunities for all children.
OPAL supports us in improving our outdoor spaces, resources and playtimes so that every child can experience rich, creative and active play every day. Through OPAL, children are given more freedom to explore, imagine, take managed risks and develop important life skills such as resilience, cooperation, confidence and problem solving.
We are committed to making play an important part of the school day, just like any other area of learning. By investing in OPAL, we aim to ensure that every child at Wolverham enjoys happy, healthy and meaningful playtimes, helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
A huge thank you to Micro Scooters for donating safety helmets and lunch bags. Their line-up includes toddler scooters, adult scooters, and plenty of models in between.
