Meet our Local Academy Board

I am a parent of three children who currently attend Wolverham Primary and Nursery School. I currently work at Chester Hospital where I began my career within Cardiology 18 years ago.

I became a Parent Governor at the school in 2014 after wanting to became more involved in my children’s education and I hope to contribute in helping all the children within the school to reach their full potential and ensure that we have given them the best possible chance.

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer with 25+ years’ experience in the rail industry holding a variety of roles in research, design, manufacturing, central government and now consulting. I am pleased to be able to support the school as co-opted governor with specific focus on Health and Safety (including Premises) to utilise my skills and experience to support strong governance. When not working, my time is mainly filled looking after three young daughters and a dog. eb.jpg

I’m Jo Johnson and I have been a member of staff at Wolverham for the past 7 years. I am also a Mum to a little boy who is 4 years old and have another on the way. My background is mainly within Early Years as a qualified Nursery Nurse. Over the last 16 years I have been working in Primary Education, my roles have included, Nursery Nurse, Pre-School Room Leader and Teaching Assistant - including class cover. I recently felt it was time for a change and had the chance to move up to KS2 supporting year 5, I thoroughly enjoyed the role and the challenges it brought.

When the opportunity to become a staff governor became available, I decided I’d love to be a part of our governing body to help support our school in moving forward and providing the best for our pupils, staff and families.

Having worked at Wolverham Primary School for nearly 12 years, I am very proud to be a part of our school community as Deputy Headteacher.  I joined the Governing body just over 18 months ago and enjoy all aspects of the role.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking and spending time with my family friends.  I am Mum to two young daughters and, as such, a lot of my free time involves ferrying them around!
