Art
We believe that our well-planned and sequenced Art curriculum allows children to gain secure knowledge, skills and understanding of artistic techniques and familiarity of a range of artists. We have designed our curriculum using the Plan Bee scheme so that children gain knowledge and skills as they progress through the school. Each year group has a set of skills which is mastered and then developed throughout ks1 and ks2.
Through our Art curriculum, we aim to inspire pupils’ enthusiasm about art. We provide opportunities to ask questions, practise a wide variety of skills and form opinions about a diverse selection of artists.
We intend for our children to have real life experiences and learn about Art in an active, reflective and creative way. Visitors and community art projects form a fundamental part of our curriculum.
