Our School Values

Through our half-termly key words - identity, courage, power, change, choices and community - we have built our curriculum based on the needs of our pupils. Our school values are carefully planned into half-termly topics based on these key words using high quality texts.

Our aims:

  • enable children to become resilient and deal with change confidently: change, courage
  • foster children’s self-esteem and help them build positive relationships with other people: identity
  • develop children’s self-respect and encourage children to respect the ideas, attitudes, values and feelings of others: identity, community, choices
  • show respect for all cultures and, in so doing, to promote positive attitudes towards other people: community, choices
  • enable children to understand their community and help them feel valued as part of it: choices, identity, community
  • help children grow into reliable, independent and positive citizens who understand the role they have in this world: power, courage, choices
